Like you, they're gamers.
And they need
your help.
Not too long ago, Zenith did Singapore proud by clinching the ESWC title at San Jose. Now, because of a lack of sponsorship, a handful of talented Singaporean gamers who have every chance at winning a medal were nearly unable to fly to Cologne, Germany for prestigious WCG 2008.

Can you imagine how you would feel, if you were in their shoes?

The time has come for gamers to support each other. It can be in small denominations of $10, $20, $50. Every effort will count to the pooling of the $4000.

Those who wish to pledge a donation may email donation@scoga.org or visit http://scoga.org/sgchamps/ (if you have PayPal).

Together, we can make things happen.
I have pledged $100. Will you step up to it?

Special Update!

Following the overwhelming support for the first evo [fun] tournament, the organisers have decided to run a second evo [fun] competition, taking into consideration the feedback from teams and players after the first.

Some feedback from teams:

"It isn't fair to have ranked players because some of them are just too pro."
Thus, this second tournament will allow 0 ranked players.
We regret to inform that the top 3 teams from the previous evo tournament will also be barred from this tournament. They are the evo staff team, Asterisk* and TanGo.

"I don't really need so many free hours, but would like some other freebies"
This second tournament will have reduced free hours but feature some "special themed awards". These winners will win selected Razer swag. Look out for it!

there's lots of things that i appreciate about ant, and a couple of things that i dont.
among the things i appreciate about him are that he's got an opinion, and he speaks his mind. you'll always know exactly where he stands. the best part about this is, he doesnt do it in a bad mannered stfu noob kinda way. ok... maybe sometimes he does... but generally, he'll deliver his message in such a way that it hurts like hell cos its so to the point, and factual. but i just can't bring myself to hate him. i like honest people. ^^
of course you're free to disagree with him, as i often do. which actually is enjoyable enough, if debating is up your street.

so... yeah, i'm not sure why i'm writing this, other than i just read some comments about his bloggish post on post-eswc thoughts.

on the team front, its irritating in a way to always only have 4 girls around, and no easier solution other than to take some guys in.
but, we're not going to force it just so we can field an all girl team, regardless of the backlash.
^^,
